  • The Carnival is over!

    The Carnival is over – well for this year anyway, and what an amazing carnival week we’ve had with plenty of lovely sunshine and a wonderful variety of events for all to enjoy.

    A big thank you to everyone for your support in helping us raise much needed funds for Sway village groups and charities.

    See you all again next year.

  • Sway Fete and Carnival and Fun Dog Show

    The Village Fete is at Jubilee Field from 11am.

    Come along to see Shorinji Kenpo (11.15) & Brownies Maypole Dancing (1.30),  Bounce on the Castle or have a Game of Skittles.

    Over 20 stalls including; quality textile, craft and gift stalls, cakes and bakes, floristry and collectables. Health, wellbeing, welfare & local information. Scouts sweet stall, tombolas, lucky dip and the Carnival Comittees famously delicious garden produce stall.

    Fun Dog Show (from 11:30) and a display of Classic Cars & Bikes 

    Delicious Cream Teas; Hog Roast & Fizz Tin Horsebox Bar, all with musical accompaniment 

    Entry is £2, children get in free. 

  • Carnival Procession Road Closures

    There will be several road closures around the village tonight from 6.45, especially Station Road, Middle Road, Heron Close, check road signs for details.

    Middle Road from the Butchers to Stanford Rise will be closed from 6.30 to allow the procession to form.

  • Carnival Procession & Party

    Come and join in or simply watch the procession on its route from the Village Hall to Jubilee Field.

    How much change can you find in your pockets to fill up the kiddies collection buckets.

    Food and refreshment will be available at venues en-route and at the Jubilee Field.
