    Walking Treasure Hunt

    Back to its old start day, the Walking Treasure Hunt will begin at the Hare and Hounds; 5.30 - 6.30pm. £1.50 per adult entry.

    Make sure your wonderful scarecrows are in place ready for the judging which will take place during Carnival week. Entry forms are available at

    Don't forget to download the location map as well and leave your entry form, map and £2 entry fee in the box at the newsagents.

    For those wanting a map of where to find the scarecrows (and vote for your favourite), these are also available from the newsagent £1 from 30th June.

    Winner to be announced at the Fete.

    Garage Sales

    Time to open up your garage and sell some stuff, or maybe you want to follow the garage map and see whats for sale in Sway.

    Maps of participating garages will be available from Sway Youth Centre 8.30 - 11am. £1 a map.

    A Trio of Plays performed by members of Sway Drama Club

    Sway Church Rooms from 7pm.

    Boule is back

    This years Carnival sees the return of Sway Boule.

    As this is the first year that its part of the Carnival events it will be in a slightly different format, but still loads of fun as pairs battle it out for the famous Sway Tower trophy.

    We will be excepting applications for 32 'OPEN' pairs for this event. Application forms are available from the newsagent. £5 a team.

    Venue: Gracewells gardens from 2pm:  Refreshments available

    Sway Carnival Fun Run

    Can you complete the legendary Sway Carnival 5-Mile Run? This year we have a new route that goes through Wilverley and Markway Inclosures.

    Online registration is now closed. But the good news is that you can register on the day at the race desk. On the day fee is £12, or £10 for running club members.

    Starting at Wilverley Plain   at 10:30 am the entry fee is £10, or £8 for running club members.

    There's also a Children's Fun Run for the younger runners! 

    Under 7s - 1/2 mile, 7+ - 1mile. Entry £1 on the day. Under 5s must be accompanied.

    To join in the 5 mile run please register online or download an entry form.

    Magical Family Fun Afternoon

    Join us at the Village Hall Green in Stanford Rise for another fun packed family afternoon.

    Back by popular demand, Mr Colours puppet show and balloon modelling, Face Painting, Lucky Dip, Craft Activities and Ferret Roulette, plus Tea and Pimms. 3.00 - 5.00pm

    Carnival Procession

    The procession will start from the village hall; assemble from 6.30pm, set off 7pm and end at the Jubilee Field with a big after show party.

    BBQ, Laughing Street Chef, Ice Cream Van, Dolphin Marching Band, Ukelele Band, Disco + more.

    Your local mobile bar The Frog and Jam Jar and the Silver Hind will be providing refreshment en-route.

    Sway Carnival Fete

    Sway Village Fete will be held at Jubilee Field from 11:am.  Come along and join the fun. 

    New this year: A Craft Tent, Human Fruit Machine and The Rodeo Bull. Kate Hurcombe will be running the ever popular Fun Dog Show, nicely positioned in the shade, a cooler spot for our four legged friends and owners.

    Plus all the usual fun events including Bouncy Castle, Maypole, Shorinji Kempo, Historic Cars and Bikes, Beat the Goalie, Cream Teas, Hog Roast, Mobile Bar and many stalls and attractions

    Entry Free - donation requested.
